By default, when Windows XP encounters an error, it shows a window asking if you want to send this information to Microsoft. Most people find this window to be an annoyance. And on top of that this little feature uses some system resources at all times that can slow down your work. I disable this service on every computer that I configure and it can be done very easily with a few clicks of a mouse. Here is how it's done: -> Click Start and click Control Panel. -> Double-click System. (Shortcut Windows Key + Break/Pause) -> Click the tab labeled Advanced. -> Click the Error Reporting button at the bottom of the System Properties dialog box. -> Select Disable error reporting. Uncheck the box next to But notify me when critical errors occur. |

Heuristic scan is a technique designed to find at a very high speed a Malware registry entry, file or folder whether or not the Malware is or is not on the system, it look for specific attributes and characteristics (heuristics signature) for detecting viruses and other forms of Malware, once detected it will use a complete known recipe for complete removal of all entries of the Malware. |

Many new customers that were referred to me had Bell Security Center Antivirus and Firewall software or also known as Sympatico Security Center with lots of popups and really slow systems. When I used my featured Antivirus system to scan this computers they were really infected with more than 250 malware infections each! This simply is not acceptable, these people were paying $5 a month in average for the service, that's a $70 a year that Bell receive for a service that is worthless! This software is a no name program that they put their name on it (Bell or Videotron that does something similar) and make tons of money because of their huge customer base. Also because the software is worst nothing. The program is very heavy (RAM usage), uses lots of resources which slow down any system regardless of the performance. Their software has no recognition anywhere on the web, this is not their specialty, you shouldn't trust a no name product fort your privacy and security. The 2 most powerful antivirus solutions in the world are ESET (NOD32) and Kaspersky. Eset NOD32 you can have it for $35 a year subscription and Kaspersky for $50, both are cheaper antivirus solutions than Bell and they are real and effective. These 2 companies invest all their efforts in antivirus and protection, Bell does none of that. So if you were wondering why is my computer so slow and why do I have these weird popups? Get rid of Bell Security Center. |
